Where am I from?
I'm a dude who grew up in a small town called Brooks in southern Alberta, Canada where I grew up on a diet of beef, barley and back bacon.
Brooks is known for its dinosaur bones, farmers, oil and meat packing plant. It's easy to give directions to Brooks, just follow the Trans Canada highway until it stinks, then turn left.
What the hell am I doing in Limey Land?
Flew to Australia in '98 on a whim where I met my Mancunian wife (as you do). Got a job at the University of Nottingham building flash learning objects and flew over. Have been in Limey Land since September 2005.
Growing up in Brooks, you would think I would've known a lot about England, but surprisingly, I didn't. I thought Wales was a province and that Scotland was separated from England by water. I knew only three other things about England before I moved over; Bad food, bad teeth and bad weather. Have learned that those three things are only slightly true.
I have learned a few more things since I've been here, hence the blog. You can read about it by clicking that Blog button at the top. It's easy to spot, there are only four buttons on the entire page! Even a complete numpty can do it. Give it a click and bathe yourself in the hot, sweaty Canuckistani goodness. You know you want to.
If you want to carry Canuckistani in Limey Land in your web or printed publication, give me an email at robcutforth[--at--]gmail[--dot--]com. I'll even take out the swear words if you want!
